Delete Your Account

If you want your Runway English account and all of the data linked to it removed from our servers, you can request deletion by e-mail. No form, no phone call.

How to request deletion

  • Open your e-mail client and write to [email protected].
  • Send the message from the e-mail address registered to your Runway English account. This is how we confirm the request is yours, so a message from any other address cannot be processed.
  • The body can be a single word — delete is enough. A subject line is not required.

Your request is confirmed automatically from the sending address. You do not need to include your password or any other detail, and we will never ask you for one.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in identity (e-mail address and name);
  • Your learning data: completed lessons, quiz results, streaks and progress;
  • The texts you submitted in writing exercises and the recordings and transcripts from speaking exercises, along with their AI evaluations;
  • Your reminder and goal preferences.

Timeline

Your data is deleted within 90 days of your request, and usually much sooner. Encrypted backups are rotated on their own schedule and are fully purged by the end of that same 90-day window.

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your progress cannot be restored afterwards, even if you create a new account with the same e-mail address.

A few things to know first

  • Subscriptions are separate. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first, otherwise billing continues.
  • You can also delete in the app. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account for the same result, immediately.
  • Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment and invoicing data held for tax purposes, are retained for the period the law requires and are kept separate from your learning data.

Silme talebi nasıl gönderilir

  • E-posta uygulamanızı açın ve [email protected] adresine yazın.
  • Mesajı Runway English hesabınıza kayıtlı e-posta adresinizden gönderin. Talebin size ait olduğunu bu şekilde doğruluyoruz; başka bir adresten gelen mesajlar işleme alınamaz.
  • Mesajın içeriği tek kelime olabilir — sil yazmanız yeterli. Konu satırı zorunlu değildir.

Talebiniz, gönderen adres üzerinden otomatik olarak onaylanır. Şifrenizi veya başka bir bilgiyi eklemenize gerek yoktur; sizden hiçbir zaman böyle bir bilgi istemeyiz.

Silinen veriler

  • Hesabınız ve giriş kimliğiniz (e-posta adresiniz ve adınız);
  • Öğrenme verileriniz: tamamladığınız dersler, quiz sonuçlarınız, seriniz ve ilerlemeniz;
  • Yazma alıştırmalarında gönderdiğiniz metinler ile konuşma alıştırmalarındaki ses kayıtlarınız ve dökümleri, bunlara ait yapay zekâ değerlendirmeleriyle birlikte;
  • Hatırlatma ve hedef tercihleriniz.

Süre

Verileriniz talebinizden itibaren 90 gün içinde, çoğunlukla çok daha kısa sürede silinir. Şifreli yedekler kendi döngüsünde yenilenir ve aynı 90 günlük sürenin sonunda tamamen temizlenir.

Silme işlemi kalıcıdır ve geri alınamaz. Aynı e-posta adresiyle yeni bir hesap açsanız bile ilerlemeniz geri getirilemez.

Silmeden önce bilmeniz gerekenler

  • Abonelik ayrı bir konudur. Hesabınızı silmek aktif aboneliğinizi iptal etmez. Aboneliğinizi önce App Store veya Google Play üzerinden iptal edin; aksi hâlde ücretlendirme devam eder.
  • Uygulama içinden de silebilirsiniz. Profil → Hesap → Hesabı sil adımlarıyla aynı sonucu anında alırsınız.
  • Yasal olarak saklamakla yükümlü olduğumuz kayıtlar — örneğin vergi mevzuatı gereği tutulan ödeme ve faturalandırma verileri — kanunun öngördüğü süre boyunca, öğrenme verilerinizden ayrı olarak saklanır.
