The instructions the AI grades against are calibrated by an instructor and kept on the server. They change only with that instructor's approval, and your device never talks to a model directly.

What is Runway English?
Runway English is a mobile app for iTEP exam preparation. It combines instructor-written lessons across listening, reading, speaking, writing and grammar with AI that scores your speaking and writing and tells you what to fix.
Which exam does it prepare for?
The iTEP, or International Test of English Proficiency. The content follows the iTEP format, and the app includes a full simulation of the test.
Do I need to already speak English?
Yes. Runway English assumes you can already hold a conversation and focuses on the exam itself. There is no beginner ladder to climb; every skill is open from the first day.
What does the AI actually score?
Speaking is scored on fluency and pace, pronunciation and clarity, vocabulary range, and how well you answered the question, plus an originality check. Writing is scored on grammar, vocabulary range and organisation, with every mistake quoted back with its correction.
Is my speaking audio stored?
